Description: Informational class for those considering joining HBC, or who are curious as to what HBC believes and teaches.

The Book of Acts (9am - 9:45am)
Location: Room 101
Teachers: Pat Fitzpatrick, Dan Landt, Adam DeClerico, Chris Baker
Description: The Book of Acts has been understood to be a historical account of the birth and growth of the Church. Some have suggested that the "Acts" being described are the acts of the Apostles. While others have suggested that it is actually about the acts of the Holy Spirit. In a way, both are true, and this class will look at how God, through the Holy Spirit, worked in the Apostles to establish and grow Christ's Church.

Known by the Scars (9am - 9:45am)

Description: In God's story of redemption, we often see His kingdom through the lens of the broken - characters who we know primarily through the most difficult, humbling, or painful parts of their lives. In this class, we will spotlight such scarred and unlikely disciples. Through their stories, we will seek to grow in our love for God as we see that His grace really is sufficient, and that His power is made perfect in weakness.

The God Who Speaks (6pm - 7:30pm)

Description: The human heart has a desire for knowledge. Whether it is the latest gossip or the newest ideas, we want to hear it. At the same time, we often think that God is silent or distant. In this class, we will look at how God has revealed himself both in creation and in Scripture. We also will look at what it means to be made in God's image and how sin has affected our ability to both hear and understand our creator.
